Prepare & Repair Symposium

September 21 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Free

Join us for the “Prepare & Repair Symposium” on September 21st, 2024, at Boston Latin Academy from Doors open 9 am to 2:30 pm.

This event, marking the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Boston public schools, is dedicated to exploring the impacts of desegregation and urban renewal.

Inspired by a curriculum from Howard Law professor Harold McDougall, the symposium will offer 5 workshops, live entertainment, and discussions on legal rights and community empowerment. Participate in systems change discussions, engage in proactive community pathways, and contribute to healing historical wounds with us!

The event is free with an option to donate.

Sign our Education in a Beloved Community Petition, to support educational reform for underserved students in Boston.

To volunteer, please fill out this volunteer registration form.

For any questions about the event please get in touch with Taylor Snider at tsnider@afrimericanone.org.
